Tel Aviv’s Cameri theatre has recently been installed with technology that provides simultaneous english translations of their stage productions.
‘It is absolutely wonderful’ says Bela a long time Cameri theatre enthusiast. ‘ My son married an Australian girl and with Cameri’s new service I am now able to share Israel theatre with her.’
Located at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Complex near the New Israeli Opera, the Municipal Library and the Tel Aviv Museum is The Cameri, Tel Aviv’s municipal theatre.

But more than that, its a wonderful way to begin integrating into the community and making friends. Like Israel, classes at Ulpan are made up of a dynamic cross section of people from around the globe. Its a real melting pot of characters making it a truly fun and interesting experience.
Each student has their own story of what brought them to Israel. Some for work, for study, for holidays, to simply have an adventure, to connect with their Jewish roots , to be with a lover, to find a lover, to visit a friend and sometimes to try a ‘living in Israel ‘ experience to decide if this could be their permanent home… the reasons are endless and so too are the ages of the students. In my class ages ranged from 18 – 65. It was a blast.

Today Democrat Barack Obama won more than 270 electoral votes out of a possible 538 to defeat Republican John McCain in the 2008 US presidential election.
Today, not only in America but around the entire globe, we witnessed, Barak Obama , bring people out of their homes to stand united for change. He and everyone who voted showed us that if you let your voices be heard, if you shout loud and strong through the ballot box, there is hope for a better world. We can make a difference.

Knowing ourselves more deeply is one of lifes greatest adventures. The journey offers invaluable insights into how to live our truth and naturally brings a deeper sense of joy to our hearts…One way to begin this process is via personality tests. Not all tests are great, in fact many on the internet are just fluffed up blah blah, but recently I found one on a Kabbalah site thats results I found both intriging, wholesome and helpful.

The music was pumping and the crowd, growing larger by the second was a sea of smiles, dancing singing and celebrating. Young couples, families, soldiers, pensioners, tourists, people walking their dogs, folks on bikes, carers pushing oldies in wheelchairs, you know… a true tel aviv melting pot, all sharing in the celebrations.

Busy working, living and loving tel aviv and cant find the time to get your butt down to Ulpan classes to get your hebrew going?
Relax!! Dont feel bad and certainly dont be giving yourself a hard time. You’re not alone, there is loads of us in the city who would love to know the language more but cant seem to fit Ulpan into our lives. There are solutions for everything in life and I beleive I have just discovered THE solution to learning hebrew.
